Department of Family and Community Services - Giving Australia project (2005)

Together with Professor Mark Lyons at UTS, Orfeus Research conducted a survey of fundraising, community-business partnerships, volunteering and social enterprise activities among the not-for-profit sector in Australia. The survey was part of the Giving Australia collaboration which includes the:

• Australian Council of Social Services
• Centre of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies (QUT)
• Centre for Australian Community Organisations and Management (UTS)
• Roy Morgan Research
• McNair Ingenuity Research
• Fundraising Institute of Australia.

The survey findings will assist in developing capacity building policies for the not-for-profit sector.

The Giving Australia project was funded by the Prime Minister's Community Business Partnership within the Department of Family and Community Services. The overall project findings are available on the PMCBP website including the report on nonprofit organizations by Orfeus Research.
